David DK

David Kinloch

Mr Kinloch specialises in all criminal cases. He has successfully defended everything from murder in the Scottish High Courts all the way down to simple theft by shoplifting cases”.

He also has speciality in road traffic cases, including dangerous driving, careless driving and speeding. Mr Kinloch is also consulted and instructed by many solicitors in proceeds of crime actions and has a high level of expertise in this matter.

On a personal level he has been heavily involved in motorcycles, since the age of 16, currently drives a tuned Honda Fire Blade and a Harley Davidson Soft Tail.He has competed in many track days at all the major European Circuits and is a dedicated biker himself. His son Daniel Kinloch has raced in super stock at a national level at the BSB meetings. He is currently associated to Appleyard.

Gayle DK

Gayle Middleton, SOLICITOR

Gayle has over 10 years’ experience working exclusively in child and family law. She joined the firm in April 2017 to head the dedicated child law office. Prior to this she worked in several large city centre practices.

Gayle has extensive experience in her practise field which encompasses all areas of family law including separation, divorce, cohabitation, residence and contact disputes. She  has conducted multiple cases pertaining to the proposed relocation of children. Gayle will work tirelessly to achieve the best outcome for families whether this be through negotiation or litigation. Gayle regularly appears in court and is a tenacious litigator.

Gayle has a particular interest in cases involving the welfare of children. She regularly appears with clients in Children’s Hearings with both parents and also for children. She has an manner which makes her particularly adept in achieving positive outcomes in the hearing system.

Gayle is a member of the Family Law Association and also the Glasgow Bar Association.

Keir Gilius

Keir Gilius, SOLICITOR

Having studied at the University of Edinburgh, Keir undertook his legal traineeship with a leading national commercial law firm and has worked exclusively in family and child law since qualification. He has always has had a keen interest in family and child law matters and shares this passion by tutoring on the Domestic Relations course within the University of Strathclyde's School of Law.

Keir's approach to sensitive child and family law matters has been commended by his colleagues and clients alike. Whilst advocating a collaborative approach to resolving disputes, he does not shy away from representing his clients' interests in Courts and Hearings across the country when litigation proves necessary. Keir has experience acting in many different types of child and family law cases, including: divorce; cohabitation; dissolution of civil partnerships; contact/residence disputes; child protection matters; and domestic violence proceedings.

Outside of work, Keir can be found volunteering at a local law clinic, providing free legal advice to those who cannot afford representation and who do not qualify for Legal Aid funding, or exploring his native Ayrshire.


Kevin Morrow, SOLICITOR

Kevin graduated with LLB (Honours) from the University of Edinburgh in 2016, and obtained a Diploma in Legal Practice from the same institution in 2017.

Kevin primarily works in our Criminal Office, where he oversees file preparation for our High Court and Sheriff & Jury files.  Kevin regularly represents clients at both Sheriff and Justice of the Peace Court level, as well as instructing counsel in various High Court cases. 

Since joining David Kinloch & Co, Kevin has been assisting in our Child Law Department and has achieved several successful outcomes for clients. 



Stephanie is our office manager and works from our city centre office. She primarily focusses on child law and oversees the work of our Glasgow North Office. She trained with the Crown Office & Procurator Fiscal Service before going on to work in private practice for a number of years and settling with Kinloch & Co.


Sharon McQuade

Sharon joined the firm in early 2017, she is the firm's criminal secretary and is based in the Glasgow North Office on Saracen Street. Her friendly face and warm personality help to provide the office with a welcoming atmosphere.
